The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) is an agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry responsible for the development and promotion of Ghanaian exports. In line with international best practice of Trade Promotion Organisations, and taking cognisance of our local situation, the strategic areas of activities engaged in by the Authority include the following:

• Market Development
  GEPA actively undertakes market entry and diversification programs for the benefit of Ghanaian exporters. The programmes include organization of trade missions, contact promotion programmes, trade fairs and exhibitions, buyer-seller meetings, conferences as well as group marketing schemes.
• Product Development
  GEPA collaborates actively with other state and private sector actors to provide interventions that ensure the development of key export products for export. These interventions include organisation of contract production/supply schemes, establishment and operationalization of Export Production Villages, improvement in product designs and facilitation of production expansion by exporting firms.
• Export Trade Information Dissemination and Communication support
  Through its export trade information centre, GEPA constantly disseminates up-to-date market and other related information to the exporter community in Ghana and beyond. It also collaborates with other TPOs such as the CBI of the Netherlands, the International Trade Centre, Geneva and the Trade Facilitation Office, Canada to provide market intelligence to Ghanaian export companies.
• Export Human Resource Capacity Strengthening
  Through the operation of an Export School, GEPA has since 1989, organised export management, product development, market development and other specialised trade related courses, workshops and seminars for export companies, trade facilitators and businesses.
